Dumbbell Lateral Raise
You are maintaining a strong, stable torso throughout the movement without using excessive momentum.
What the coach saw
At the peak of the movement, your arms reach a height level with your shoulders, which effectively targets the lateral deltoids. You show good control as the weights descend, resisting gravity rather than letting them drop. Your stance remains wide and rooted, providing a solid base that prevents the swaying often seen in this lift. There is a slight lead with the elbows during the ascent, which is excellent for maintaining tension on the target muscle.
Try this next set
Try to keep the palms facing the floor or slightly tilted forward at the peak to maximize engagement of the side delts.
